Luquman Shaheen with the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Canada's BC chapter opposes the violent tone of some of those protests, "It is most unfortunate that the misguided reaction of certain muslim leaders gives some the chance to take political advantage of the situation."

Instead of torching embassies, Shaheen encourages Muslims to take up the pen and help educate people about the peaceful teachings of Islam.
