I do not agree with people complaining that Uighur's are protesting.  It is your right to protest if you want, and there were a lot of people bashing Uighur's for this.  I do not agree with some of the racists bashing Uighur's, unfortunately in Canada there are lots of racists who do not like new Canadians.

But what I do not understand, is that I cannot find any solid information about why some Uighur's are upset with China.  I have heard the accusations, but have found no proof.

I knew about Uighur's for a long time, and one way is because of all the Uighur restaurants I found in China.

I have mentioned some facts about why I support the Chinese government.

I cannot find any facts from Uighur's other than accusations.  Also, Rebiya Kadeer is one of the protest instigators who has moved to the USA, yet she is associated with a terrorist group.  This is unusual because the US normally detains Muslims, and I feel they welcomed her, even knowing she has terrorist links.

If Uighur's are being oppressed, how was she able to become a famous and wealthy Muslim (Uighur) business woman?  Why did the Chinese government recognize and honor her by assigning her to the "National Assembly", and also why did they assign her as a UN delegate?

It seems things changed, only after she was caught breaking the laws of China and participating in separatist activities.

I don't understand the reason for the Urumqi protest.  It seems many Uighur's did not know that the 2 workers killed in Shaoguan, were accused of raping a female co-worker.

These are the facts I know, I also saw Chinese Paramilitary defending Uighur's and using tear gas to repel Han's seeking revenge.

I guess at the end of it all, I am just sad as a Muslim and Canadian Born Chinese at the violence.
